The Ashianeh zar deposit is located in Kerman province, nearest of Negar city. Approximate centroids for the Ashianeh zar deposit are 501550 E, 3254550 N using the WGS 84 (zone 40 N) datum.
Prospecting & Exploration:
Geological and topographic mapping in scale 1:20,000 and 1:1,000 done. 171 samples in prospecting (71 sample from vein, 100 sample form mineralization& alterations) collected and have been analyzed. Geophysical survey (IP, RS) were undertaken too. Trench excavated with total length 573 m and volume 2578 m3. 132 samples from trench were collected and analyzed. Drilling on the project were done in 2014 consists of 6 core holes (320.2 m) with HQ sized (63.5 mm). 128 samples from core holes were collected and analyzed by ICP-OES and Fire assay. Drill core recoveries averaged 72.5% and RQD 58%. Drill hole and trench collars were initially surveyed using 3 frequency GPS.
The Ashianeh zar mineral resource estimate was prepared using 3-D modeling software Gemcom GEMS 6.4. A block size of 1 m x 1 m x 1 m was selected. Ore reserve for copper is 266,300 tons with average Cu 0.5%, and for gold is 105,340 tons with average Au 0.52 ppm.
Risks and Opportunities:
Genesis and reserve of this deposit is not specified because of low drilling. There are several porphyry deposits near this area (Ashianeh zar is located at southeast of Dar Alu mine). In this area 50 polymetal veins with different dimension and two stock work zones have been observed. Geophysics surveys show sulfide deposits in depth. Cu, Au, Mo, Ag, Pb and Zn have strong anomaly at surface which shows top of porphyry system. According to close deposits and prospecting it seems that with more exploration and drilling through 500,000 m systematic drilling we can access to one or two porphyry deposits. Distance between Ashianeh zar deposit and Bandar Abbas is 400 km. Mining is difficult in Winter. Water resources and power exists around this area.
